Why Write?

​Yesterday I spoke with the local Texas Retired Teachers Association about why I write. I thought about this and realized I have a need to express myself. I’ve tried painting, but I don’t have the patience to put paint on canvas – I can’t sing – I taught for years and was able to express myself through sponsoring organization. So, writing became my drug of choice, and I have enjoyed every minute. 
There have been times I have deleted chapters, sometimes I’ve deleted a word or two, but all in all I try to express what my heart is creating in my main characters. I don’t know why others write, but I know I don’t do it for recognition, or for the money (there hasn’t been much). I write to share Jesus.
