My pen name, S. B. Roth, is a tribute to my parents. My father was a very creative artist completing many oils and watercolors prior to his passing. My mother loved poetry and wrote limericks and poems for my birthday. Born in Danville, Illinois we moved to the southwest when I was five. Living and traveling through New Mexico, Texas and Arizona gave me a rich love of this area of America. Our camping trips in the Rocky Mountains led to hilarious experiences that I often use in my books. In each of my books I have leaned on and included many of these.
On a little more personal side, I have three children and six grandchildren plus four greatgrandchildren. I love and adore each one, although they don't think so. Most live close so I see them often. The photo below is the crew plus a few. My granddaughter was getting married last year and it's rare to get a photo of all of them. We haven't added any new ones yet, but I"m sure it won't be long.
