I’m not very consistent when it comes to journaling. I used to journal when my children were young, but I find journaling my second obsession after my books. If I spend hours a day putting stories together, it’s difficult to then stop and write a journal about what I’ve been doing.
So, I’m adding a journal I wrote just recently, I hope you enjoy: I am an author. My journey began when I was young, but publishing didn’t occur until I was old. One of my first books was a fantasy about a little child named Blossom. Blossom would sing a little ditty that was popular in my world in the 50s or 60s. As she sang this song, an old spiritual song, He holds the whole world in His hands; then He holds the sun and the rain in His hands. The song continued, and as she sang to herself, she wondered who He was. How could He have everything in His hands? Don’t you wonder the same thing at times? How can He hold my problems yet hold someone else’s problems simultaneously? I wonder if that question will only be answered in Heaven or if once we are with Him, maybe we will already know. Having Jesus in our lives should make it easy to depend on Him minute by minute, day by day, but do we? I’ve lived a long time, not as long as some, but I find each day I am in His Word helps me to gain a little more trust and a little more dependence on Him. I love it. I want to be so close to Jesus that I can feel His presence in all situations from the beginning. Proverbs 2:6 “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
